Everyone loves a show that’s romance and sports. Blue Box is a perfect combination of elements of romance and sports. It is loved by fans of both sports and romance anime. This is a story of a badminton player, Taiki, who has a childhood crush, Chinatsu, who is an excellent basketball player. Taiki fulfilment and love for badminton only build to impress Chinatsu's love for basketball. He wants her to see how serious he is for badminton. When Chinatsu's family had to leave Japan for some reason, Chinatsu remained in Japan for her basketball tournament. Taiki’s mom offered her to live in her home and she accepted that offer. All the way you’ll be smiling or blushing at different scenes. During some scenes, Hina becomes the highlight of the show more than Chinatsu, so you might start rooting for Hina more than for Chinatsu.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity:
This anime is even for those viewers that aren’t fond of the romance genre in anime; like, it might be an exception for them too. The story revolves around Rintaro Tsumugi and Kaoruko Waguri. Rintaro is tall and has an appearance like a bully but in reality he’s totally opposite of what he looks like. Due to this he’s often misunderstood by people as an evil and dangerous bully. But in reality he has a sweet and kind nature. One day Rintaro encounters a short girl named Kaoruko. They didn’t hit straight away but their relationship gradually got better. The writing is beautiful. The dialogues between characters really felt natural. The inner monologues feel relatable. The pacing is fine as well.
Sometimes people avoid romance anime or anime in general due to sexualization of female characters but this anime doesn’t contain any of this at all. This isn’t your typical romance anime, but it's full of intricate past traumas that will put you in your feelings. All characters perfectly embody the feeling of being a teenager that many can relate to, and the relationship dynamics make it even better. Our male and female MCs, both, are mature characters that make the show ten times more interesting.
Romantic Killer:
Here comes one of the most underrated romance anime. The story revolves around a teen, Anzu, who has an obsession with video games, chocolates, and her adorable cat, Momohiki. One day as she was playing a game, a wizard named Riri comes out of the screen and makes all of her three most favourite things disappear. Now she has no hold on her video games, her chocolates fades away and she gets lost in touch with her cat. Seems like she lost her entire life, didn’t she? But Riri promises that Anzu will get access to these things after she falls in love with a guy. But Anzu refuses.
This is where this anime gets very different from other romance anime where the main female character is waiting for someone to fall in love with her but here Anzu doesn’t want to fall in love at all. The humour is executed well and gives you a couple of good laughs.
The animation is also really fun. It was a reverse-harem romance anime, as two other love interests, Tsukasa and Junta, also fall in love with her. This show is filled with dark and twisty moments that will give you an emotional rollercoaster.
Vampire in the Garden:
One of the sub genres of romance that can make an interesting story is forbidden romance.
In the world of Vampire in the garden, vampires are dominant in nature and ruling over the world. They are growing in numbers rapidly. Humans were nothing compared to him. Even though they are of completely different natures, they quickly started to fall in love with each other. Enemies to lovers Yes. The relationship between them grew quicker as long as they proceeded. Their love is forbidden due to the war between their races.
The relationship between Fine and Momo is one of the most interesting yet heart-wrenching relationships in the history of anime. With stunning visuals and unique characters, we can see a perfect depiction of forbidden romance and what love can make you do. Even though this is just a 5-episode anime, still it manages to convey a heartfelt story in the most beautiful way that can even make you cry.
